The Patriots may have missed the playoffs but Boston showed up in force in a Super Bowl ad Sunday.
Dunkin' Donuts debuted an ad during the second quarter of the game where Ben Affleck attempts to impress girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. The ad is for a new iced coffee drink that will be available Monday.
The ad shows Affleck forming a band called "the Dunkings" with Matt Damon and Tom Brady against the advice of rapper Jack Harlow.
The Super Bowl remains the largest television advertising event, no matter how segmented the media world becomes.
The big game serves as the opportunity for companies to debut campaigns for the year at a cost of $7 million for a 30-second commercial.
